It’s important to check in with your clinician, especially when starting or adjusting HRT. A review is usually recommended after three months, though this may be sooner depending on your needs.

Each appointment cost is spread over three months through our care plan. As your clinical care is our priority, you're welcome to book earlier if needed — this will simply add another three months of payments to your plan.

Each follow-up gives you 30 minutes with your clinician to:
-Reflect on how your symptoms have changed
-Discuss any lifestyle or medication adjustments
-Explore options like testosterone or vaginal oestrogen, if needed
-Your clinician may adjust your HRT by changing the type (e.g. patch, gel, or tablet) or dose, based on your progress and preferences.

  • In your next 30-minute follow-up, you’ll review how your symptoms have changed and discuss any care or medication adjustments you'd like to explore.
  • If you're on HRT, your clinician may recommend changes to the type (patch, gel, or tablet) or the dose—tailored to your needs and how you're feeling.

  • It can take time to find a plan to suit you. It is common for patients to see their experts every three months for the first year so that treatments can be tweaked. You may also choose to add in other treatments or lifestyle changes across the year, which need to be monitored via your follow ups.

  • Once you are stable on HRT, your clinician will suggest seeing you less frequently. You can request to cancel your plan, transfer to one of our other plans or book a review appointment when you need it. In order to continue receiving a private prescription from Menopause Care, review appointments will need to be scheduled at least once a year.
