Hormone Care and Menopause Clinic Brighton

Who We Are

At Menopause Care, we believe every woman deserves time, understanding and expert guidance to make sense of hormonal change. Our approach is warm, individualised and firmly grounded in evidence. We listen carefully, explore your symptoms in depth and work with you to build a plan that feels right for you.

Menopause Care was founded by Dr Naomi Potter in 2019 to improve access to specialist menopause expertise and raise standards of care for women experiencing hormonal change.

We bring together a multidisciplinary clinical team focused entirely on womens hormonal health. Our team includes GPs, consultants and British Menopause Society accredited menopause specialists, alongside registered nutritionists and lifestyle medicine clinicians. We also offer access to CBT and hypnosis practitioners, which can be helpful for managing sleep disruption, anxiety, low mood and stress during menopause.

Specialist menopause support for women living in Brighton and along the Sussex coast

Menopause Care provides expert hormone and menopause care for women living in Brighton and Hove. Our clinicians support women through perimenopause, menopause and longer term hormonal change, offering calm, evidence based guidance that is centred on understanding you as an individual.

If you are noticing physical, emotional or cognitive changes and want clear, specialist support, our team is here to help you make sense of what is happening and explore care options that feel right for you.

Menopause can affect many parts of life

Menopause is not a single event but a gradual transition that can unfold over several years. Hormonal changes may begin earlier than expected and can affect sleep, mood, confidence, memory, physical comfort and overall wellbeing.

Many women in midlife are balancing work, relationships, caring responsibilities and personal health. When hormonal symptoms appear alongside these pressures, it can feel difficult to know what is normal, what is hormonal, and what support might help.

Menopause care is about slowing things down enough to look at the full picture, understanding how symptoms connect, and supporting women to feel informed rather than dismissed or rushed.

About Menopause Care

Menopause Care was founded by Dr Naomi Potter in 2019 with the aim of improving access to specialist menopause expertise and raising standards of care for women experiencing hormonal change.

Our service brings together a multidisciplinary clinical team focused entirely on womens hormonal health. This includes GPs, consultants and British Menopause Society accredited menopause specialists, alongside registered nutritionists and lifestyle medicine clinicians. We also offer access to CBT and hypnosis practitioners, which can be helpful for managing sleep disruption, anxiety, low mood and stress during menopause.

Care is individual, respectful and grounded in current clinical evidence. Women are supported through PMS, perimenopause, menopause and more complex hormonal conditions with clarity and compassion.

Accessing menopause care in Brighton and Hove

Women living in Brighton and Hove can access specialist menopause care through secure online consultations.

This approach allows you to speak with a menopause specialist from your home or workplace, without the need for travel or waiting rooms. Many women value the privacy and flexibility this offers, particularly when discussing sensitive symptoms or fitting appointments around busy lives.

Online consultations also allow for calm, focused conversations where there is time to reflect, ask questions and feel fully heard.

What menopause care involves

Menopause care is not limited to prescribing medication. It is about understanding how hormonal change is affecting you physically, emotionally and mentally.

During your consultation, your clinician may explore:

  • Symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, joint pain, headaches or fatigue
  • Emotional changes including anxiety, irritability, low mood or reduced confidence
  • Cognitive symptoms such as brain fog or difficulty concentrating
  • Changes in menstrual cycle or bleeding patterns
  • Sleep quality and energy levels
  • Medical history and family health
  • Lifestyle factors including stress, work demands and daily routines
  • Treatments, supplements or hormones you may already be using

This detailed understanding helps your clinician recommend options that are appropriate for your symptoms, preferences and overall health.

Personalised treatment and ongoing support

Treatment plans are always tailored and may change over time as symptoms evolve. Depending on your needs, menopause care may include:

  • Hormone replacement therapy using regulated, body identical hormones
  • Testosterone therapy when clinically appropriate
  • Non hormonal medications
  • Nutritional guidance and lifestyle medicine support
  • CBT or hypnosis to support sleep, mood and emotional wellbeing
  • Strategies to support long term health, bone strength and cardiovascular wellbeing

Where helpful, blood tests can be arranged either locally or through home testing kits. All recommendations are explained clearly so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

HRT support in Brighton and Hove

Some women seek menopause care because they are already using HRT but feel unsure whether it is fully supporting them. Others are considering HRT and want clear, balanced information before deciding.

Our clinicians take time to explain:

  • Different types of HRT and methods of delivery
  • How dose and formulation can affect symptom control
  • Safety considerations and current clinical guidance
  • When testosterone or non hormonal options may be helpful

Adjustments are made carefully, with explanation, so changes feel reassuring and considered.

Support at every stage of hormonal change

Women come to Menopause Care at different points. Some are at an early stage and want reassurance or clarity. Others have been living with symptoms for years and want a clearer plan and continuity of care.

We support women experiencing:

  • PMS and cyclical hormone symptoms
  • Perimenopause
  • Menopause and post menopause
  • Surgical menopause
  • Premature ovarian insufficiency
  • PCOS
  • Contraceptive needs during hormonal transition

There is no right time to seek menopause care. Early support can be just as valuable as later intervention.

After your consultation

After your appointment, you will receive a detailed clinic letter summarising your discussion, assessment and treatment plan. This can be kept for your records or shared with your GP if you wish.

Many women choose follow up appointments to review progress, adjust treatment and feel supported as their needs change over time.

Do I need a referral

No referral is required. You can book directly with Menopause Care.

If you have previous medical letters, blood test results or clinic notes, you are welcome to share them ahead of your appointment.
