About Menopause Care

Menopause Care was founded by Dr Naomi Potter in 2019 with a clear aim: to improve access to high quality, specialist menopause care. Today, our team includes one of the most experienced groups of menopause focused clinicians in the UK.

Our clinical team brings together GPs, consultants and British Menopause Society accredited menopause specialists, alongside registered nutritionists and lifestyle medicine clinicians. We also offer access to CBT and hypnosis practitioners to support mood, sleep, anxiety and other hormone related challenges.

Women come to us with a wide range of concerns, including PMS, perimenopause, menopause and more complex hormonal symptoms. Whatever stage you are at, your care is guided by experience, compassion and clinical expertise.

Understanding hormonal change

Hormonal shifts during PMS, perimenopause and menopause can affect emotional wellbeing, physical health, sleep and confidence. Many women describe a sense of feeling different from their usual selves, without always knowing why.

Research shows that more than 70 percent of women experience symptoms that interfere with daily life, yet many struggle to find specialist guidance that feels clear, balanced and supportive.

Menopause Care was created to offer a different experience. We focus on listening carefully, explaining what may be happening in a way that makes sense, and supporting you to make informed choices about your health.

Menopause specialists supporting women across Leeds and the North

If you live in Leeds, Yorkshire, the North West or nearby areas across the North, our clinicians are here to support you with clear and compassionate hormone care.

Consultations are delivered through secure online video, allowing you to speak with a menopause specialist from your home or workplace. This approach provides calm, uninterrupted time to talk openly and develop a personalised plan that supports both your current symptoms and your longer term wellbeing.

Our approach to care

Every consultation is shaped around you. We take time to understand your symptoms, your health history and what matters most to you.

Our clinicians aim to:

  • Listen carefully and without judgement
  • Offer balanced, evidence informed medical guidance
  • Work with you to create a plan that fits your life, values and priorities

Treatment options may include HRT, non hormonal medications, nutritional and lifestyle guidance, CBT or hypnosis, and weight management support when appropriate.

Our goal is to help you feel informed, supported and confident in the decisions you make about your health.

Support at every stage

Women come to Menopause Care at many different points. Some have been managing symptoms for years, while others are at an earlier stage and want reassurance or clarity.

Both experiences are common, and both deserve careful attention.

HRT and hormone treatment in Leeds and the North of England

If you are already using HRT, you may have questions about whether the type, dose or combination is right for you. You may also be considering HRT for the first time and want clear information about safety and what to expect.

We take a calm and thorough approach. Your clinician will explore your symptoms, medical history and goals, and help you understand the hormonal patterns that may be contributing. Lifestyle factors, stress and overall health are also considered, as these often influence how symptoms present.

Where helpful, we can:

  • Review and adjust HRT type or dose
  • Arrange blood tests
  • Consider testosterone therapy or non hormonal options
  • Discuss supplements or supportive therapies

All recommendations are explained clearly, so you feel confident and well informed.
