Hormone Care and Menopause Clinic Norwich

Who We Are

At Menopause Care, we believe every woman deserves time, understanding and expert guidance to make sense of hormonal change. Our approach is warm, individualised and firmly grounded in evidence. We listen carefully, explore your symptoms in depth and work with you to build a plan that feels right for you.

Menopause Care was founded by Dr Naomi Potter in 2019 to improve access to specialist menopause expertise and raise standards of care for women experiencing hormonal change. Since then, we have brought together a multidisciplinary clinical team focused entirely on womens hormonal health. This includes GPs, consultants and British Menopause Society accredited menopause specialists, alongside registered nutritionists and lifestyle medicine clinicians. We also offer access to CBT and hypnosis practitioners, which can be particularly helpful for sleep disruption, anxiety, low mood and stress related symptoms during menopause.

Whether you are experiencing PMS, perimenopause, menopause or more complex hormonal conditions, you will be supported with clarity, compassion and careful attention at every stage. You will always be in safe, expert hands.

Specialist menopause support for women across Norwich, Burnham Market, Holt and Walsingham

Menopause Care provides expert hormone and menopause care for women living in Norwich, Burnham Market, Holt, Walsingham and surrounding areas across North Norfolk. Our clinicians support women who are navigating perimenopause, menopause or longer term hormonal change and who want clear, compassionate guidance from specialists in womens hormonal health.

Whether symptoms are subtle, fluctuating or having a significant impact on daily life, our role is to help you understand what is happening and support you with thoughtful, evidence based care.

Menopause is more than a single stage

Menopause is often spoken about as a moment in time, but for most women it is a gradual transition that unfolds over several years. Perimenopause can begin earlier than expected and may bring a wide range of symptoms that feel unpredictable or difficult to explain.

Hormonal changes can affect sleep, mood, memory, energy, physical comfort and emotional resilience. Many women describe feeling unlike themselves, or struggling to connect symptoms that seem unrelated. It is also common for symptoms to overlap with work stress, caring responsibilities or other health concerns.

Menopause care is about creating space to explore these changes carefully, with time to ask questions and understand patterns, rather than rushing toward quick solutions.

Accessing menopause care in Norwich and North Norfolk

Women living in Norwich, Burnham Market, Holt, Walsingham and nearby communities can access specialist menopause care through secure online consultations.

This approach allows you to speak with a menopause specialist from your home or workplace, without travel or waiting rooms. Many women find this especially helpful in rural or coastal areas, where specialist services can otherwise be harder to reach.

Online consultations also offer privacy, flexibility and the opportunity for calm, unhurried conversations about sensitive symptoms.

What menopause care involves

Menopause care is not limited to prescribing treatment. It is a process of understanding how hormonal change is affecting you as a whole person.

During your consultation, your clinician may explore:

  • Physical symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, joint pain, headaches, palpitations or fatigue
  • Emotional changes including anxiety, irritability, low mood or loss of confidence
  • Cognitive symptoms such as brain fog or memory changes
  • Changes in menstrual cycle or bleeding patterns
  • Sleep quality and energy levels
  • Medical history and family health
  • Lifestyle factors including stress, work patterns and daily routines
  • Treatments or supplements you may already be using

This detailed picture allows your clinician to recommend options that align with your symptoms, health background and preferences.

Treatment options and personalised support

Treatment plans are always tailored and may change over time as symptoms evolve. Depending on your needs, menopause care may include:

  • Hormone replacement therapy using regulated, body identical hormones
  • Testosterone therapy when clinically appropriate
  • Non hormonal medications
  • Nutritional guidance and lifestyle medicine support
  • CBT or hypnosis to support sleep, mood and emotional wellbeing
  • Strategies to support long term health, bone health and cardiovascular wellbeing

Where helpful, blood tests can be arranged either locally or through home testing kits. All recommendations are explained clearly so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

HRT support in Norwich

Some women seek menopause care because they are already using HRT but feel unsure whether it is optimised. Others are considering HRT for the first time and want balanced, evidence based information before deciding.

Our clinicians take time to explain:

  • Different types of HRT and delivery methods
  • How dose and formulation can influence symptom control
  • Safety considerations and current guidance
  • When testosterone or non hormonal options may be helpful

Adjustments are made thoughtfully, with clear explanation, so changes feel reassuring rather than confusing.

Support at every stage of hormonal change

Women come to Menopause Care at many different points. Some are at an early stage and want clarity or reassurance. Others have been living with symptoms for years and want a clearer plan and ongoing support.

We support women experiencing:

  • PMS and cyclical hormone symptoms
  • Perimenopause
  • Menopause and post menopause
  • Surgical menopause
  • Premature ovarian insufficiency
  • PCOS
  • Contraceptive needs during hormonal transition

There is no right time to seek menopause care. Early support can be just as valuable as later intervention.

After your consultation

After your appointment, you will receive a detailed clinic letter summarising your discussion, assessment and treatment plan. This can be kept for your records or shared with your GP if you wish.

Many women choose follow up appointments to review progress, adjust treatment and feel supported as symptoms and priorities change over time.

Do I need a referral

No referral is required. You can book directly with Menopause Care.

If you have previous medical letters, blood test results or clinic notes, you are welcome to share them ahead of your appointment.
