Expert Hormone Care for Women in Oxfordshire

Trusted menopause specialists in Oxford

Founded by Dr Naomi Potter in 2019, Menopause Care brings together a highly experienced team of GPs, consultants, BMS accredited menopause specialists, nutrition professionals and lifestyle medicine experts. Women can also access CBT and hypnosis for menopause, providing thoughtful, holistic and evidence informed support.

Hormonal changes during PMS, perimenopause and menopause can influence everything from mood and sleep to physical comfort, relationships and work. Many women describe feeling unlike themselves, often without knowing where to turn. Despite how common these symptoms are, accessing consistent and specialist support can be challenging.

Our service was designed to remove those barriers.

If you are based in Oxford or the surrounding areas, including Henley, Bicester, Didcot, Summertown, Jericho or Burford, our team is here to offer clear, compassionate care tailored to your needs.

Menopause Specialists Oxford

We offer specialist appointments via secure video consultation, giving you time and privacy to talk openly with an expert clinician. This flexible format allows you to explore your symptoms and create a plan that supports your immediate wellbeing as well as your longer term health.

How we work

  • We take time to understand your concerns
  • We offer clear, balanced clinical guidance
  • We build a personalised plan that reflects your goals and preferences

Your care may include HRT, non hormonal medication, lifestyle and nutrition support, CBT or hypnosis, or weight management options depending on what feels right for you.

Our aim is to help you feel confident, empowered and well informed.

Support Throughout the Menopause Transition

Many women come to us unsure whether their symptoms are hormonal or simply a result of life changes.

You may have been managing discomfort for some time, or have only recently noticed shifts in mood, energy or physical symptoms. All of this is normal, and all of it is valid.

HRT treatment in Oxford

Some women reach us already on HRT but unsure whether their treatment is optimal. Others are curious about starting but feel confused by conflicting information.

We take a calm, structured approach to ensure your treatment feels right for your body and circumstances.

Together we explore:

  • your symptoms and how they fluctuate
  • your health history
  • lifestyle and stress factors
  • how hormonal changes may be contributing

Where needed, we can

  • adjust HRT types or doses
  • arrange blood tests
  • consider testosterone or non hormonal treatment options
  • review supplements or supportive therapies

What Happens During Your Consultation

Your consultation is a private, supportive space to talk about the changes you are experiencing. We take an unrushed, whole-person approach.

Topics we often explore

  • Your symptoms, triggers and patterns
  • Your menstrual and reproductive history
  • General health and family history
  • Sleep, stress and lifestyle routines
  • Treatments or approaches you have already tried
  • What matters most to you right now

We explain what may be happening physiologically in clear language and support you in making decisions that feel right for your values, comfort and goals.

There is no judgement. Your care is individualised to you.

Regulated Body-Identical HRT in Oxford

We use body identical HRT that meets British Menopause Society guidance. These regulated hormones closely match those produced naturally by the body and are considered a safe and effective option for many women. Where needed, additional hormonal treatments may be used to support bleeding patterns or reduce side effects.

Treatment Options Tailored to You

After exploring your symptoms and priorities, we discuss options that may help you feel more like yourself again.

Treatment may include

  • HRT
  • Testosterone where appropriate
  • Non-hormonal medication
  • Lifestyle and nutrition guidance
  • Sleep strategies
  • Approaches to support mood, energy and overall wellbeing

If blood tests are useful, we arrange these. We also support onward referrals when required.

You will receive a detailed clinic letter summarising your plan, which you can share with your GP.

Most women arrange follow up appointments to refine treatment, review symptoms and renew prescriptions.
