About

Cath is a GP and menopause specialist, working in Kendal, having moved from Stockport near Manchester in 2022 for the rural life. She lives with her husband and sausage dog and has 2 boys who are finishing their studies at University. She enjoys walking in nature in the Cumbrian Fells and beyond, climbing and being part of a vibrant community of women in the Community where she lives. She set up a regular menopause cafe in Kendal and the South Lakes Menopause and Wellbeing Hub on Facebook which now has nearly 1400 members.

Medical expertise

I qualified as a doctor in 1996 and trained in urology before becoming a GP in 2007. I worked for some years as a GP with special interest in Urology, focusing particularly on female pelvic health. I have continued with an interest in women’s health throughout my career and am a menopause and sexual health trainer. I am interested in nutrition and holistic approaches to health and wellbeing and work with a team supporting women in sport specifically around hormonal health. I am completing a coaching qualification and use these additional skills to support women along their hormonal journeys.
