When you no longer feel like yourself and are told “it’s just ageing”...

Menopause is the stage that follows the hormonal fluctuations of perimenopause, marked by the point when your periods have stopped for a full year.

While it is a natural transition, the lasting decline in oestrogen and progesterone can affect your body and mind in profound ways—often leaving you feeling that your "spark" has faded. Many women find themselves navigating a range of persistent symptoms, from brain fog and fatigue to shifts in physical health, all while being told it is "just part of getting older".

We understand exhausting it can be to feel that your concerns are being dismissed or that you are just expected to "cope". Our leading specialist menopause doctors in the UK can provide the clinical certainty and specialist oversight needed to move past the frustration, and help you find a clear path back to feeling like yourself again.

Is specialist menopause care right for you?

You might find specialist care is the right steps for you if some of these feel true for you:

1 I feel my concerns have been dismissed. I'm tired of being told my symptoms are just "part of life" or down to stress
2 I am tired of "just coping" alone. I’ve managed these hormonal changes by myself for too long and need expert support
3 I want more than a brief appointment. I need the time to talk through my history and lived experience properly
4 I am looking for clinical certainty. I want evidence-based options and the safety of long-term specialist monitoring
5 I need a plan built specifically for me. I want a personalised approach that recognises my journey is unique

Our Approach

Every person’s experience of perimenopause is different. Our role is to help you understand how hormonal changes may be affecting your body and mind, and explore safe and evidence-based treatment options. Your care is led by specialist clinicians experienced in perimenopause and women’s health. We take a thoughtful, supportive, and non-judgmental approach, combining medical expertise with care that is tailored to you.

Oestrogen

Oestrogen, the main hormone that declines in menopause, is replaced in HRT through gels, patches, sprays, or tablets.

Progesterone

If you have a womb and are starting oestrogen HRT, you will also need to take progesterone. Progesterone is available as capsules, combined patches, or the Mirena coil.

Testosterone

Testosterone is a critical hormone for women, and declines with age. For women on HRT that continue to have symptoms such as low libido, testosterone replacement may help.

Vaginal Oestrogen

Vaginal oestrogen is a low dose medication used to treat symptoms such as vaginal dryness and frequent UTIs. It can be prescribed in the form of pessaries, gels or creams.
